Manicures are trendy… they look nice, sure, but do you know how to work around this often-lengthy service, one that takes a lot of practice and isn’t necessary for many clients?
In this training, I show how to prep the nail surface without a manicure, gaining space on the plate, with a nice result at the end! With and without an e-file.

THEORY COURSE
• Why this service must be perfectly mastered
• Understanding the different file grits and materials depending on the service
• Very in-depth explanation, geared toward beginners
• Understanding, through metaphor, why we need to file the nail surface
• Knowing how to explain this step to your client to reassure them
• How to avoid lifting; understanding the risks
• Knowing how to recognize a damaged nail and how to proceed on that type of nail
• Knowing how to push back the cuticle safely
• Understanding the correct hand movements with the manual file
PRACTICAL COURSE
• Demonstration on two fingers, on a model
• I perform a full demonstration with the file
• I then perform a demonstration with the e-file (surface of the nail plate)
• I explain how to be comfortable with your tools, and the landmarks to avoid injury
• By the end of this training, you’ll be able to carry out a classic nail prep (excluding manicure) without damaging the natural nail, using the method of your choice based on those offered and your experience level.
TRAINING CERTIFICATE & FOLLOW-UP:
You’ll receive your training certificate at the end of the program.
You’ll get one free correction should you feel you need it.
NB: This course is taught using the e-file-then-file method, so you’re free to choose which tool to use. If you don’t work with an e-file, this course is perfectly suited for you. If you’d like to learn the e-file technique, I invite you to combine this with the fill training to get all the explanations related to the e-file.
The demonstrations are done on a model with standard cuticles, to show you that the result can look great even without a manicure.
A classic, combination, or Russian manicure should be considered when the cuticle is too abundant. This training isn’t suited for students who want to master that particular service.

In 2009, I dreamed of learning this craft that fascinated me. Not knowing how to choose the right training centre, I was drawn in by one with a beautiful website and products I recognized, which reassured me.
All I cared about was learning properly and getting to work quickly.
But over the next 3 years, I kept making mistakes I couldn’t understand. I wasn’t happy with my work. I started doubting myself and my future in this industry, even though I was deeply passionate about it.
In 2012, I went to another training centre to learn a new shape. That’s when I realized all my mistakes had an explanation.
I was devastated to have spent so long thinking I wasn’t good enough, when really I had just been given incomplete training from the start.
UNDERSTANDING is the foundation of everything. Once I got it, I was finally succeeding. I was hungry to learn more. So I kept training, no matter the city, the country, the brand.
And here I am today, partnered with a brand myself, with my own website trying to win you over… but now you know that’s not enough to reassure you.
So how do you choose? Whatever the price or length of a course, the real proof is in the results students achieve. Look around you, ask questions.
Even though my beginnings were years ago, the memory stays with me every day. My goal through every course I teach, beginner or advanced, is to share my passion and give you the solid foundations that will save you from ever feeling like giving up or doubting yourself.
